The Whitehead programs, resources and tools listed
below apply to high school, college and graduate students.
The Institute does not run a formal internship program,
though many students work in Whitehead labs through
MIT’s
Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program and
graduate
program in biology.
Whitehead offers high school students an opportunity
to learn about cutting-edge topics in biomedical research
through a lecture series each spring during the April
vacation week.
The Whitehead Institute and Boston’s Museum of
Science periodically join together to present leading-edge
science to the Boston community through various lecture
series held at the Museum of Science.
Biology Week is a web-based publication that allows
readers to access a simple URL to view up-to-date listings
of biology seminars and symposia in the Boston/Cambridge
area.
