Advanced Imaging: Imaging in C/T Cancer Research
Description: The Advanced Imaging course series is designed to assist clinical and translational investigators in (1) understanding more fully how various imaging modalities can be used to enhance their own research, and (2) introducing clinical and translational researchers to members of the imaging community in the Harvard network with whom they can collaborate. This series of courses will address CT, PET, and Optical imaging through cardiovascular, neuroscience, and oncology topics, with each course lasting three days to address each topic and modality.

Description: This three-day course offers an overview of the utility of imaging in research in its application to oncology. Participants will have the opportunity to consider how they might use imaging in their own preclinical or clinical research. The specific goals of this course are to introduce attendees to the available imaging technologies commonly used in cancer research; convey the potential, as well as the limitations of these approaches; expose attendees to a variety of applications of the imaging technologies; and present the types of imaging biomarkers and endpoints that could be used in clinical trials.
